Applications are now open for the Youth Climate Changemakers Fund for Informal Groups, an exciting opportunity designed to empower young people who are passionate about driving climate action in their communities. Through this initiative, informal youth groups can access grants of up to €1,000 to implement impactful projects that help strengthen and expand the climate movement at local, national, or regional levels.

This funding opportunity is specifically tailored for groups made up of at least three young people under the age of 30. Importantly, applicants do not need to be part of a legally registered organisation, making the fund accessible to grassroots initiatives and emerging youth-led collectives. Projects supported under this call should run for a period of six to twelve months and focus on meaningful engagement around climate issues.

Proposed activities may include raising awareness about climate change, mobilising communities, engaging the public in environmental action, advocating for sustainable policies, building the capacity of young leaders, or organising training sessions that equip participants with relevant knowledge and skills. The fund aims to support practical, community-driven ideas that contribute to a stronger and more inclusive climate movement.

Applications are assessed on a rolling basis, allowing groups to apply when they are ready. The next application deadline is 1 April 2026, and interested groups are encouraged to review the full Call for Proposals to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and align their project ideas with the fund’s objectives.
