Internship : Apply for the Next Generation Internship Program (NGIP)
An organisation devoted to improving the capacities of civil society organisations in West Africa towards increased sustainability and operational and development effectiveness is the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI), a regional non-governmental organisation.
Aiming to promote the next generation of African scholars and practitioners, WACSI launched the Next Generation Internship Programme (NGIP) in January 2008 in response to a demand for structured practical capacity building for young West Africans. The program's primary audience consists of young West Africans who are seeking job experience in WACSI's major areas of work. These individuals may be recent graduates or early career professionals. It is anticipated that interns will dedicate a period of six months to working with WACSI, during which they will participate fully in all programme activities and gain more expertise in leadership, programme management, and major development concerns facing West Africa, among other areas.
Ghanaian, Togovian, and Chadian interns who are eager to advance their professional and civic consciousness are sought for by WACSI. They will be integrated into the three main areas of focus for WACSI, which are knowledge management, policy influence and advocacy, and capacity development.
