Join the CIPE Creative Industries Fellowship Program

The Civic Charge accelerator program is accepting applications for the CIPE Creative Industries Fellowship, which is intended for creative workers who are utilising their skills to promote social change and are based in Bangladesh, Belize, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Mexico, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somaliland, South Africa, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

This year, Accountability Lab is teaming up with the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), a nonprofit focused on business and democracy, to launch the CIPE Creative Industries Fellowship as part of the Civic Charge Program.

Civic Charge backs initiatives that promote inclusion, climate justice, digital governance, and expanded civic participation. It serves as a peer-driven accelerator for changemakers who are applying innovative methods to strengthen social accountability worldwide.

The program includes monthly virtual learning sessions and peer engagement opportunities, offering practical support to amplify the scale and impact of existing projects. Its flexible curriculum covers key areas such as institutional strengthening, advanced project management, communications, and strategic engagement. Civic Charge is ideal for curious problem-solvers eager to join a global learning network.

Eligibility Criteria
Are you currently running a program focused on promoting inclusion within governance? Does your initiative aim to amplify the voices of women, youth, people with disabilities, or other marginalized groups who are underrepresented in decision-making?

Do you work in the area of climate justice, specifically on improving inclusive governance of natural resources and land? Is your project focused on climate resilience or adaptation?

Are you developing a solution related to digital governance? This includes using technology to improve governance, address disinformation, protect digital rights, ensure data privacy, and tackle digital surveillance.

Is your work aimed at strengthening citizen participation in democracy? Does it contribute to enhancing civic engagement through the right to information, the protection of media freedoms, and more inclusive electoral processes?
