Applications are now open for the NYCC Climate Champions Fellowship 2026, a youth-focused climate leadership programme implemented under the National Youth Climate Consortium, an initiative led by the Bring Back Green Foundation with support from YuWaah India at UNICEF and UNICEF India.
The fellowship is designed to empower young changemakers to drive grassroots climate action, strengthen community engagement, and influence climate advocacy through youth-led solutions.
About the Fellowship
The NYCC Climate Champions Fellowship serves as a flagship youth programme that equips emerging climate leaders with practical skills, mentorship, and institutional support to implement local environmental initiatives.
Over the past two years, the programme has supported more than 60 Climate Champions representing multiple states and territories, enabling youth voices to contribute to national and international climate dialogues.
Participants are encouraged to design locally relevant climate solutions while building partnerships between youth, communities, and public institutions.
