Join the SDGs Campus Ambassador Programme Cohort 5 (2026)
Applications are now open for the SDGs Campus Ambassador Programme Cohort 5, a 10-week leadership initiative designed to engage students from tertiary institutions across Africa in advancing sustainable development on their campuses and within their communities.
The programme encourages young leaders to play an active role in promoting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through leadership training, mentorship, and collaborative activities, participants gain practical knowledge and tools to champion sustainability initiatives within academic institutions.
The initiative recognizes universities and colleges as important spaces for innovation and community engagement. By equipping students with advocacy skills and project implementation experience, the programme aims to support a new generation of African leaders capable of driving meaningful progress toward the global 2030 development agenda.
Participants selected for the programme will take part in structured virtual learning sessions, mentorship engagements with experienced professionals, and practical activities that encourage the design and implementation of SDG-focused projects on campus or within surrounding communities.
In the long term, the programme seeks to build a continent-wide network of sustainability advocates working within thousands of tertiary institutions. The broader vision is to cultivate a large community of ethically driven leaders who can influence sustainable development policies, initiatives, and grassroots actions across Africa.
