Modest Grants for Youth-led Initiatives (US$50,000 + Fully Funded to the Canadian OYW Summit, 2024)

One Young World is giving awards to a student-led, small-scale, creative non-profit organisation that works to address the health and climate issues that today's youth face.

The winner will get a prize in addition to a fully-funded scholarship to attend the One Young World Summit in Montreal, Canada in 2024. They will also be included in a development programme through the YHP's Impact Fellowship and receive mentorship from AstraZeneca.

This scholarship is open to all eligible nationals, requiring applicants to demonstrate a positive impact on climate/health equity projects benefiting youth aged 10-24. Applicants must have internet access, proficiency in English, participate in the One Young World Summit in Montreal, commit to a one-year Fellowship program, and lead a non-profit project funded through the Fellowship.

AstraZenea is giving a winning entry to the One Young World Summit in 2024 a reward of $50,000. A group of experts will provide the answer with a full year of mentorship. In addition, the winner will receive funds, networks, and structured learning opportunities to oversee a community initiative aimed at enhancing child healthcare access. Depending on what the endeavour requires, the mentorship team will expedite the solution.
Eligibility Criteria
a youthful leader (between the ages of 18 and 30) having the motivation and resolve to work for or manage a nonprofit organisation and improve people's health throughout the world.
creative fixes with the potential to grow in size.
projects run by nonprofit organisations that combine aspects of environmental sustainability and/or stewardship with the goal of closing the equity gap by providing increased access to healthcare for underprivileged youth.
a rights-based, locally driven strategy that targets marginalised and at-risk kids.
Concentrate on regional and/or national advocacy strategies that seek to interact with legislators and decision-makers in order to affect favourable legislative change.
- They welcome a broad range of suggestions, such as strengthening young people's capacity for health and climate activism, encouraging carbon-friendly approaches to health equity problems, encouraging climate-health entrepreneurship, focusing on food waste and facilitating balanced meals, and more.
