Professional journalists in Kenya are invited to apply for the Narrative Shift Journalism Residency, a specialized storytelling programme focused on young motherhood and lived experiences.
This residency is led by Docubox in partnership with The International Resource for Impact & Storytelling and aims to support journalists in producing impactful, ethical, and human-centred reporting on young mothers.
About the Residency
The programme combines training, mentorship, and editorial support to strengthen journalism that highlights agency, dignity, and real-life perspectives. Selected participants will take part in a five-month online journalism training led by Journalists for Human Rights (JHR), followed by a five-day in-person residency at the Docubox offices in Nairobi.
