Open Call:Apply For The COP17 Women Delegates Negotiation Training

The United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification has announced an open call for the second round of the Women Delegates Fund (WDF) training ahead of COP17. The programme is designed to strengthen women’s leadership, negotiation abilities, and participation in international environmental negotiations focused on land restoration, drought resilience, and sustainable land management.

The initiative builds on the success of the first WDF training held during CRIC23 in Panama City. Through this programme, selected women delegates will gain negotiation experience, policy knowledge, and networking opportunities that will help them participate effectively during the UNCCD COP17 conference in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. COP17 will take place from 17–28 August 2026 under the theme “Restoring Land, Restoring Hope.”
