Paid Climate Leadership Internship: Apply for the GreenCheck Solidarity Academy 2026

Applications are now open for the GreenCheck Solidarity Academy (GSA) 2026, a paid training and internship programme created to nurture emerging climate justice leaders from communities most impacted by the climate crisis.

The academy brings together a small international cohort of young changemakers from Most Affected Peoples and Areas (MAPA) — a term used to recognise communities facing heightened climate vulnerability beyond traditional geographic labels.

Through mentorship, collaborative learning, and hands-on action, participants will contribute to strengthening grassroots climate justice movements while building cross-regional solidarity among frontline communities.

About the Programme

The GreenCheck Solidarity Academy combines intensive learning with practical experience. Selected interns will engage in capacity-building sessions, develop advocacy and creative communication skills, and participate in real climate justice initiatives led by MAPA communities worldwide.

Past participants have highlighted the programme as a transformative experience that broadened their global perspective, connected them with diverse activists, and helped them develop new professional and creative abilities — ranging from storytelling and design to research and reporting.

The academy also promotes inclusive working environments and adaptive learning approaches that accommodate diverse learning styles, including neurodivergent participants.

  • Application Deadline: April 6, 2026 (11:59 PM UTC+8)
