Applications are now open for the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) Long-Term Paid Traineeship 2026–2027, offering university graduates an opportunity to gain professional experience within a European Union institution. The five-month traineeship takes place in Brussels, Belgium, providing participants with practical exposure to the work of the EESC while developing valuable skills in an international and multicultural environment.
The programme is designed to help graduates better understand the role of the European Economic and Social Committee and gain first-hand experience supporting its activities across various departments.
About the Traineeship
The EESC organises two long-term traineeship sessions each year, beginning on 16 February and 16 September. During the placement, trainees work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to the daily activities of the Committee while learning about European policymaking and institutional processes.
Required Documents
Shortlisted candidates may be asked to provide:
- University diploma or proof of graduation.
- National identity card or passport.
- Additional supporting documents requested during the selection process.
Selected trainees will later be required to submit:
- A police clearance certificate.
- A medical certificate confirming fitness for the traineeship.
