Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 edition of the AMWAJ Journalism Fellowship. This initiative is designed to support early-career journalists by offering them meaningful opportunities to grow and gain visibility in their field.

Eligible candidates must be young journalists with no more than five years of professional experience. The program is open to applicants from countries located in the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean region, including Algeria, Egypt, Cyprus, Jordan, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Tunisia, and Türkiye and others in that region

One journalist will be chosen for the inaugural cycle of the fellowship, which will run from October 2025 to February 2026. The selected fellow will receive financial support totaling €4,000, along with coverage of travel and accommodation costs for any approved assignments undertaken during the fellowship.

Throughout the five-month period, the fellow will work in close collaboration with members of the AMWAJ team and benefit from one-on-one guidance and mentorship. Their stories will be featured on AMWAJ’s Stories/Tayyarat platform, published online in REVOLVE Magazine, and may also be included in REVOLVE’s quarterly print edition. The fellow’s work will be promoted through AMWAJ’s official social media accounts and showcased in a dedicated playlist on the AMWAJ YouTube channel.

In addition, the fellow will be highlighted on the official Fellowship webpage with a dedicated profile. This will include their photo, a short bio, social media and website links, and a curated selection of past works—such as articles, films, podcasts, or other relevant creative projects they have produced.
