Applications are open for two paid internship openings at OpenForum Europe (OFE)  for recent graduates interested in digital policy, open technologies and European innovation. Based in Brussels, OFE is an independent, not-for-profit think tank that promotes open standards, open source software and competitive digital markets across Europe.
The organisation works at the forefront of EU digital policy discussions, advocating for user choice, fair competition and resilient technology ecosystems that strengthen Europe’s digital sovereignty.
Policy Internship
The Policy Intern will join OFE’s policy team and contribute to its advocacy and research work within the European digital policy landscape.
Key responsibilities include:

Monitoring EU policy and regulatory developments

Conducting policy research and analytical briefings

Supporting advocacy and stakeholder outreach activities

Assisting with event coordination and daily operations
This role offers practical exposure to the development of digital regulations, competition policy, and open technology frameworks at EU level.

Research Internship
The Research Intern will support OFE’s analytical and outreach initiatives focused on open technologies in Europe.
Responsibilities include:

Tracking and analysing developments in the digital policy space

Assisting with research outputs and publications

Supporting event planning and communications activities

Contributing to internal research coordination
The position provides hands-on experience in research linked to open standards, interoperability, open source ecosystems and digital innovation policy.
