PAID INTERNSHIP : Join Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) team through an Internship as Project Support Intern
GCA is a leading international organization dedicated to addressing climate change and promoting adaptation action for resilient development. We collaborate with governments, International Financial Institutions (IFIs), businesses, and communities to develop and implement innovative solutions that strengthen resilience and support adaptation to climate change impacts.
The main Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program (AAAP), established by GCA and the African Development Bank (AfDB) to increase adaptation activities and raise funds for climate-resilient development in Africa, serves as the vehicle for implementing GCA's strategy on the continent. GCA has so far included adaption strategies into $9 billion worth of IFI-funded projects throughout Africa. Under the AAAP, GCA's work focusses on four pillars: food security; infrastructure and nature-based solutions; youth entrepreneurship and adaptation jobs; and adaptation financing. These areas are where investments in adaptation and resilience development may pay off handsomely for African countries.
