MobiliseYourCity Partnership, a global leader in sustainable urban mobility, is seeking a highly motivated intern to support our mission. As a Mobility Capacity-Building Intern, you will contribute to empowering cities and countries worldwide to develop scalable solutions for improved mobility.
About them:
MobiliseYourCity Partnership is a collaborative initiative of over 100 partners, including cities, countries, and organizations, working together to promote sustainable urban mobility. Our partnership is supported by prominent donors, including the European Union, Agence Française de Développement, and German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Internship Objectives:
- Gain insight into sustainable urban mobility planning, national policies, and investment programs
- Develop knowledge of trends, challenges, and opportunities in urban mobility development, focusing on the Global South
- Acquire experience in capacity building for urban mobility stakeholders worldwide
- Learn stakeholder management and institutional relations in a complex network
- Familiarize yourself with development cooperation and climate policy implementation in the transport sector
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing capacity-building activities, such as training workshops and peer-to-peer learning
- Support event organization, research, and data collection on urban mobility topics
- Contribute to writing technical articles, guidance documents, and presentations
- Assist with project impact monitoring, reporting, and knowledge management
Requirements:
- Completed university studies in a relevant field (transport, economics, engineering, politics, communication, or social sciences)
- Fluency in French and English; Spanish knowledge is a plus
- Understanding of sustainable urban mobility challenges, particularly in the Global South
- Relevant professional experience in international development cooperation, especially in climate change and transport/urban mobility
- Digital literacy, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
Conditions:
- Location: You will be based at the Global Secretariat, Brussels
- Starting date: September 23, 2024
- Duration: 6 months
- Contract: Convention d’immersion professionnelle according to Belgian law
- Deadline: August 31, 2024
