PAID REMOTE POSITION: GreenCheck is hiring a Remote Program Manager
Applications are open for the position of Project Manager at GreenCheck, a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to advancing global climate justice. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a transformative initiative aimed at equipping young leaders from the Most Affected Peoples and Areas (MAPA) with the skills and resources needed to drive meaningful change.
GreenCheck operates as a grassroots-focused organization, redistributing resources to community-led climate efforts while fostering a strong international support network. The goal is to empower local initiatives and create a space where young people can actively participate in climate justice efforts. One of the organization’s flagship programs is the GreenCheck Solidarity Academy, which provides training and internships to young individuals from marginalized communities who are passionate about climate action but have limited experience in the field.
The upcoming edition of the Solidarity Academy will welcome seven interns for a four-month program that includes a one-month intensive training on climate justice, decolonial philanthropy, grassroots organizing, and other key areas, followed by a three-month internship with one of GreenCheck’s partner organizations. The Project Manager will oversee the successful execution of this initiative, ensuring that the program meets its objectives and provides a valuable experience for participants.
Key responsibilities include coordinating the selection process, managing training sessions, overseeing partnerships, and ensuring smooth implementation of the internship phase. The ideal candidate should have experience in project management, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of climate justice. Preference will be given to those familiar with MAPA communities and the challenges they face.
This is a part-time position running from April to October 2025, with a remote or hybrid work setup. The initial funding for this role is $800, but efforts are underway to secure additional resources, potentially increasing the compensation up to $2,500. Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and be capable of working with diverse stakeholders.
For those passionate about making a tangible impact in climate justice and supporting young leaders from underrepresented backgrounds, this is an opportunity to be at the forefront of a groundbreaking initiative.
