The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is presently seeking applicants for the position of Administration Associate to support the Forest & Climate Leaders' Partnership (FCLP). This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who want to make a difference in global climate and development projects.
The position, vacancy code VA/2025/B5004/30007, will be home-based and offered under a Local ICA Support contract at the LICA-6 level.
The contract is continuous and subject to performance, financing availability, organisational requirements, and project duration.
About UNOPS and the FCLP
UNOPS is a key resource in the United Nations system, offering specialised services in project management, procurement, and infrastructure to promote sustainable development, peacebuilding, and humanitarian aid. The New York Portfolio Office (NYPO) collaborates closely with UN agencies, multilateral partners, and governments to carry out UNOPS' global mission. The Sustainable Development Cluster (SDC) at NYPO provides support to multi-sectoral partners through a variety of portfolios, including the Development and Special Initiatives Portfolio (DSIP), which includes this position.
At COP27, world leaders launched the Forest and Climate Leaders' Partnership (FCLP), which is supported by UNOPS DSIP. It is a concentrated and voluntary alliance of countries dedicated to halting and reversing forest loss and land degradation by 2030.

Additional Information
**Education:**
- A master’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred; relevant work experience is not mandatory at this level.
**OR**
- A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent first-level university qualification) in the same fields, along with at least **two (2)** years of relevant work experience, is considered an asset.
**OR**
- A high school diploma (or equivalent secondary education) with a minimum of **six (6)** years of relevant work experience is required.
*Note:* In cases without a university degree, holding an administrative certification is considered an added advantage.
**Required Work Experience:**
- Relevant experience should include work in general administrative, logistical, or operational support roles within national or international public institutions or corporate environments.
- Proficiency in using computers and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) is mandatory.
- Experience in using web-based management systems is also required.
