The exceptional and creative achievements made by people, organisations, and institutions to further the education of girls and women are recognised with the UNESCO Prize for Girls' and Women's Education.

- Governments of UNESCO Member States or non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in formal alliance with UNESCO may submit nominations. Up to three people, groups, or institutions that are significantly and creatively advancing women's and girls' education may be nominated. It is not possible to nominate oneself.

- For additional information, interested applicants are encouraged to get in touch with the Prize Secretariat, an approved UNESCO partner organisation, or their nation's Permanent Delegation to UNESCO.

Only NGOs with formal partnerships with UNESCO and National Commissions for UNESCO/Permanent Delegations to UNESCO may access the online platform where nominations must be made in either English or French.
