Remote Externship with a stipend of $500 stipend at National Geographic Society & The Nature Conservancy Marine and Community Conservation , Apply now
The Nature Conservancy and National Geographic Society, two of the most reputable environmental organisations in the world, are partnering to provide this externship.
Water is an essential resource regardless of how far you live from the ocean. Globally, there are increasing risks to marine environments that could have an impact on all people. A sustainable future depends on our ability to comprehend how natural systems are interrelated on a local and global scale.
Although issues like overfishing, offshore drilling, ocean acidification, or the disappearance of coral reefs may seem far away, participants in this externship will learn how to contextualise marine conservation in a local setting. Discover how to make marine concerns pertinent to all communities and how to solve them. Students will investigate professions in marine conservation, engage with scientists and professionals from The Nature Conservancy and The National Geographic Society, perform research, and establish connections with regional conservation groups.
