For project-based engagements, Bodhi is looking to add an experienced international consultant with a focus on the intersections of conflict dynamics, migration, and climate change to our roster. The ideal applicant will have knowledge of the intricate connections between development, security, conflict, human mobility, and climate change.

Learning:
PhD in a relevant topic, such as environmental security, migration studies, peace and conflict studies, climate security, or related fields

Additional Information
A minimum of ten years' experience in conflict, migration, and climate change study and practice
a minimum of ten years' experience working on initiatives for international NGOs and/or UN agencies
demonstrated proficiency in conflict-sensitive adaptation, environmental peacebuilding, climate security, and displacement caused by the climate
strong record of publishing in policy papers and/or peer-reviewed journals on the relationship between migration, conflict, and climate change
Competencies and Knowledge:
thorough comprehension of the intricate relationships that exist between development, security, migration, conflict, and climate change
proficiency with mixed-method research techniques, climate risk assessment, and conflict analysis
experience developing and putting into action adaption plans and conflict early warning systems that are sensitive to climate change
knowledge of international frameworks such the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, the Global Compact for Migration, and UN Security Council resolutions on security and climate
Excellent analytical abilities, particularly the capacity to examine conflict dynamics in relation to climate change
Stakeholder involvement and dialogue facilitation experience with a variety of groups
