REMOTE JOB OPPORTUNITY : Relief International is looking for a Regional Program Manager

Concerning Relief International

Relief International (RI) works in collaboration with communities affected by natural disasters, armed conflict, and climate change to save lives, increase resilience, and advance long-term health and well-being.

Currently, RI is operating in fifteen countries worldwide, including some of the most vulnerable: occupied Palestine territory (oPt), Afghanistan, Pakistan, Philippines, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Turkey, and Yemen; these are only a few of the highly unstable nations.

Relief International comprises Relief International Inc., Relief International-UK, Relief International-France, and Relief International-Europe, the four corporate members of the RI Alliance. We use a single, shared management structure in accordance with the terms of our partnership agreement.

the Middle East Area

With an emphasis on the four RI sector pillars of health, WASH, education, and economic opportunity, RI works in seven Middle Eastern countries: Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, occupied Palestinian territory (oPt), and Yemen. In the Middle East, we directly and indirectly employ over 4,000 people, and we carry out a number of development and humanitarian projects with an annual budget of about $70 million USD.

In order to provide programme and grants management support for the Middle East portfolio, the Regional Programme Manager (RPM) will assist Programme and Portfolio Management in the region. In order to ensure collaboration with the Global Award Management Unit, Global Programme Development Team, and Technical Assistance Department, the RPM will collaborate closely with the Regional Programme Director. In order to guarantee precise and prompt compliance with programme and grant management needs, the RPM will also communicate with funders.

The job entails carrying out crucial duties for the Middle East programme portfolio, which includes development and humanitarian initiatives in six nations. In response to humanitarian emergencies, the person will need to provide direct support, monitoring, gap filling, and surge support. A dynamic, proactive, independent, and adaptable person with good project cycle and grant management abilities, fluency in English, and the ability to work well in a variety of teams is needed for this post.

The key responsibilities of this position include working closely with regional and country-level teams to ensure high-quality program implementation and reporting, identifying and raising risks on project implementation at the country offices level, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and donors.

The role also involves providing comprehensive guidance and support with the implementation of sound project cycle management in accordance with RI's Program Management Framework (PMF). The role also involves supporting timely country-level project mobilization for new projects and closeout for existing ones, participating in project review meetings, and ensuring that program teams regularly update and follow project management tools.

The role also involves supporting the Regional Program Director with reporting Programs KPIs to GSO, working with the Regional MEAL Manager, providing support, monitoring, and capacity building, and providing program coverage for country offices during peak times or Program Director gaps. The role also involves leading the induction and onboarding of newly recruited Program staff, country grant focal points, and other relevant new RI team members on the required tools and processes set out in RI's Program Management Framework, RI Program Strategy, and RI System Approach.

Don't miss out on the application deadline which is 31 Jul 2024.
