SELF FUNDED: Apply for the NextGen BHR Youth Innovation Hackathon 2025 ( limited travel support available )

Applications are open for the NextGen BHR: Youth Innovation Hackathon that will bring together top students from universities across Thailand, ASEAN, and beyond to tackle real-world business and human rights challenges.

The Hackathon will focus on business case resolution and is aimed primarily at business school students. However, applications are also welcome from students in other faculties – including law, journalism, sustainability, and related fields – who bring valuable perspectives to these issues.

How It Works

  • Participation is in teams of 3–5 students (apply as a team or individually—organizers will form diverse groups).

  • Over two days, students will work intensively on “wicked problems” in five key areas:

    • Labour Rights & Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

    • Environment & Climate Justice

    • Technology & Human Rights

    • Supply Chain Transparency & Responsible Production

    • Indigenous Peoples’ Rights & Community Impact

 Important Notes

  • Participation is self-funded (travel and accommodation are the responsibility of participants).

  • Limited travel support is available for select universities.
