The Office of the Lord Mayor of Kampala has opened the second round of the Youth Climate Action Fund (YCAF), a unique initiative designed to empower young people to take meaningful action against climate change. In partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies, the program offers both technical support and funding to help youth-led projects create impactful climate solutions, from tree planting to policy development.
Last year, the program successfully supported 10 youth-led organizations that made significant strides, including the development of apps to track plastic pollution, restoration of green spaces, and promotion of climate education.
