UNDP Grant Opportunity of $100,000 : Submit proposals for Creating Public Awareness and Support for Climate Action

Proposals to raise public understanding of climate change impacts and responses and to encourage civil society to engage in more discourse and push for climate action are being accepted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

US$100,000.00 is the total indicative grant pool amount made available under this call for proposals.

Eligibility Criteria
The minimum requirements for applicants are as follows: First, they must be a Libyan non-governmental, academic, non-profit organisation that has been working on development and climate-related projects in the country for at least two years. Secondly, they must have demonstrated the ability to conduct public surveys and public knowledge awareness initiatives in Libya. Third, having prior project administration experience from UN agencies is a strong asset. Finally, they must have human resources that will guarantee the contract's timely and proper implementation.
The criteria used by UNDP to evaluate whether an NGO is qualified for consideration will be based on the results of the capacity assessment and risk assessment. These assessments will be carried out by going over the data that the NGO submits using the Capacity Assessment Checklist and the Request for Information for NGO, which must be properly filled out and submitted along with the necessary supporting documentation.
