1.Programme Assistant:

Background
The UNV Field Unit (FU) actively promotes volunteering as a strategic way to carry out national development programs by interacting with partners including the government and UN agencies. In order to incorporate volunteer solutions that facilitate the execution of their missions and activities, the UNV Program collaborates closely with the UN system.
In close collaboration with the UNV Regional Office and Headquarters, the Program Assistant will assist with volunteer mobilisation within UN agencies, offer administrative and operational support for FU, and assist with the volunteer recruiting and management cycle.

2.Child Protection Specialist

Background
Burundi holds the distinction of being one of the most densely populated nations in Africa. Its population is predominantly young, rural, and economically disadvantaged, placing the country near the very bottom of global human development rankings—currently 187 out of 188. Nearly half of its citizens are children, many of whom face serious protection issues such as exposure to violence, exploitation, and lack of access to appropriate legal support systems.

In response, UNICEF is working on multiple fronts to strengthen both national and community-level child protection and justice systems. The organization is developing and refining targeted approaches to meet the specific needs of the most at-risk children—those without parental care, those displaced from their homes, and those living with disabilities.

Efforts are also underway to assist the Burundian government in establishing a justice system that is sensitive to the needs of children. This includes creating specialized services for minors who are victims, accused individuals, or witnesses, and involves advocating for legal reforms, providing training for justice and law enforcement professionals, enhancing children's access to competent legal representation, and supporting the reintegration of minors who have come into contact with the justice system.

3.ICT Associate

The mission of the United Nations Population Fund, an international development organisation, is to support every woman, man, and child's right to a healthy, equal life.

The three main objectives of UNFPA are to: 1) raise awareness of the social and economic ramifications of population issues and their solutions; 2) provide aid to developing nations; and 3) coordinate the efforts of the UN and other organisations to plan and carry out population projects. 4) UNFPA works to prevent and respond to gender-based violence through its work with policymakers, justice systems, health systems and humanitarian partners. 5) UNFPA also focuses on eliminating harmful practices, including FGM and child marriage, and helps to engage men and boys to advance gender equality.
