Young people across the IGAD region are stepping up in the fight against climate change — leading community efforts, spreading awareness, and driving innovative solutions. To honor this impact, ICPAC, with support from ClimSA, is launching the Youths for Climate Action Campaign to highlight and celebrate youth contributions to climate communication and engagement.

📣 Who Can Participate:

Youth under 35 from IGAD member states are invited to share their climate action journeys through:

• 📷 Photographs
• 📹 Short videos or animations
• ✍️ Written stories

These submissions should showcase involvement in climate information sharing, education, or locally-led climate solutions.

🏆 Award Categories

1. Under 18: Outstanding efforts in climate education or awareness in schools or local communities
2. Age 18–24: Innovative youth-led climate action or communication projects
3. Age 25–35: Young professionals or leaders implementing climate solutions
4. Video/Animation (Under 35): Engaging storytelling or explainers on climate services or adaptation
5. Photography (Under 35): Visual storytelling of climate impacts or resilience initiatives
