📌 About the Programme
The Giga Accelerator is part of the Giga initiative, run by the Giga Technology Centre in Barcelona. Delivered primarily in a virtual format, the programme supports innovators who are building products that advance inclusive and economically sustainable school connectivity. Through this platform, participants will receive tailored guidance to strengthen their solutions, explore commercial viability, and connect with leading stakeholders in the digital ecosystem.

The programme has three key objectives:
1️⃣ Provide financial support and mentorship to strengthen product development and sustainability.
2️⃣ Ensure solutions are interoperable and commercially viable in real-world settings.
3️⃣ Build strategic partnerships with telecom companies and other high-impact players in connectivity.

Focus Areas
The Accelerator is looking for products and ideas that:

• Expand connectivity in areas where infrastructure is limited or absent.

• Develop affordable, scalable, and sustainable business models for digital access.

• Enable viable internet provision in peri-urban and rural communities.

• Use innovative technologies to improve reliability, adaptability, and deployment in underserved areas.

• Reduce operational and technical barriers for connectivity providers.
