Fully Funded to Germany :Apply for this DAAD PRIME Fellowship Program 2024
For the 2024 DAAD PRIME Fellowship Programme, the German Academic Exchange Service is accepting applications from interested parties.
The program offers full funding that covers an annual salary of up to €80,000. The program also covers the expenses of travel, accommodation, and dependents if they accompany the fellow abroad for more than one month.
The DAAD PRIME Fellowship Programme provides funding for postdoctoral researchers at German universities who are temporarily employed to travel abroad.
The programme is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
A required return phase for reintegration into the German scientific system is also included in the award. The program's objective is to give participants a crucial credential for a sustained career in science.
Postdoctoral scholars who envision a long-term professional career in Germany are the target audience. Postdocs who choose Germany as their long-term career destination are eligible for financing for an independent research stay based on a one-time job at a German university.

Additional Information
Compensation: 18-month contract for temporary work at a German university based on TV-L EG 13 pay scale (€70,000 – 80,000). The colleges calculate your actual salary based on your prior work experience.
Expatriate allowance: Based on the region categorization of the destination and the fellows' gross income, a monthly expatriate stipend is provided during research stays overseas.
Travel allowance: The DAAD lump sum travel stipend for postdoctoral scientists is awarded to PRIME Fellows.
If a spouse or child stays with the fellow for at least one month while conducting research overseas, they are also eligible. DAAD pays the travel allowance directly.
For the purpose of conducting a 12-month research stay abroad, with a 6-month return phase to Germany in between, DAAD finances an 18-month job contract at a German institution.
You may mix stays at various research institutes throughout one or more nations during your year abroad.
Candidates may hold any nationality.
The program's mandatory components of the research stay overseas and the return period to Germany must be accepted by the applicants.
Applicants residing overseas must declare their intention to pursue their research careers in Germany after the return phase is over in order to be eligible for funding.
Funding is not available to applicants who already have a permanent employment agreement with the prospective host institution for the planned research project.
Up to six years following the (first) PhD, you may apply.
They ought to have finished their PhD with distinction prior to the financing period beginning.
