Empowering Youth for Climate Action: Global Training Programme
Join the Global Youth Climate Training Programme, a free capacity-building initiative designed for young people aged 16-35. This comprehensive programme equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage in international climate policy and advocacy.
Building on the success of its first iteration, the programme returns in 2024 with a focus on non-state actor accountability in climate policy. Through expert-led sessions and interactive discussions, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the UNFCCC process, climate finance, loss and damage, adaptation and resilience, and more.
The programme is a collaboration between the Global Youth Coalition and the University of Oxford, with support from the ClimateWorks Foundation. It offers:
- A free, open-access course with recordings published on YouTube
- Sessions in five languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Arabic
- Five bursaries available for admitted applicants to cover costs associated with attending COP29
Applicants should demonstrate experience in climate activism, knowledge of the UNFCCC process, and effective advocacy skills. The programme aims to empower young people from diverse backgrounds, particularly those most impacted by climate change.
Apply now until August 10, 2024, and be part of a global movement driving climate action and sustainability.
