FULLY FUNDED TO CAPE TOWN : Apply for the 2024 University of Cape Town Scholarship (African Centre For Cities)

Scholarship applications are being accepted by the African Centre for Cities (ACC) as part of the DANIDA-funded CLAIMS to Energy Citizenship project (2024–2028).

Two PhD scholarships and two Master's student seats have been funded by DANIDA (2024–2028) through the ACC as part of the CLAIMS project. The project has three work packages and focusses on energy transitions in South Africa.

WP1 will concentrate on routine actions associated with energy availability.
WP2 will concentrate on the subnational state and the energy system transformation processes.
WP3 will attempt to provide a multi-scale and multi-actor understanding of infrastructure citizenship by combining knowledge from WP1 and WP2.

Two master's scholarships are up for grabs for students signing up for the ACC's MPhil in Urban Studies - Southern Urbanism program. Applicants interested in claims related to everyday energy access and provision, urban statecraft, and/or urban infrastructure challenges are encouraged to apply.

Don't miss out on the application deadline which is September 7, 2024.
