Call for Young Climate Leaders: Oxfam Europe Youth Advisory Team
Oxfam seeks 5 dynamic young climate advocates from European youth movements for a 3-month collaboration (Oct 1 - Dec 31, 2024). This advisory team will co-create a mobilization strategy for climate action and social justice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on developing initial concepts based on the Budapest meeting outcomes (June 27-28, 2024)
- Review and provide feedback on Oxfam's strategy documents
- Participate in decision-making meetings
- Support outreach and mobilization efforts for listening sessions
Compensation:
- €200/day, 1 day/week, 4 days/month (€800/month, total €2400/3 months)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Member of a European youth-led movement/organization focused on climate and social justice
- Maximum age: 30
- Participation in the Budapest meeting (asset, but not required)
- Gender diversity and geographical balance (Eastern, Western, Northern, Southern Europe) will be prioritized
- Diversity among represented organizations/movements (e.g., intersecting struggles, organization types)
