FULLY FUNDED: Apply for the PPIA Fellowship for graduates interested in a public policy career

Applications are open for the 2025 Public Policy & International Affairs (PPIA) Fellowship, a fully-funded program aimed at preparing future leaders in public policy.

This fellowship offers participants the chance to attend the Junior Summer Institute (JSI) hosted by some of the top graduate schools in public policy. In addition, fellows receive lifetime access to the PPIA Alumni Network and the annual Public Service Expo.

The core of the PPIA Fellowship is the Junior Summer Institute (JSI), a six-week intensive program designed to strengthen foundational skills in public affairs. Fellows undergo training in essential areas such as economics, statistics, leadership, and both domestic and international policy. Throughout the JSI, participants will have the opportunity to network with peers, potential employers, and graduate schools, setting them on a path toward successful public service careers.

There are several benefits to this fellowship. Participants receive a stipend for the summer to support their involvement in the JSI program, and all coursework is fully funded at one of five partner universities. The program also covers the cost of books and course materials, while providing university housing for the duration of the program. In addition to career coaching and guidance, fellows gain lifetime access to PPIA’s Alumni Network and the annual Public Service Expo. Alumni of the program also benefit from guaranteed fee waivers for applications to Graduate School Consortium programs and are eligible for at least $5,000 in fellowship funding from Consortium schools upon acceptance. Many fellows receive additional financial support beyond this minimum.

The JSI is hosted by top graduate schools in public policy, each offering its own specialized focus. Applicants can apply to several program sites, increasing their chances of being placed at a preferred location. Most fellows are matched with one of their top three site choices.
