The Earth Prize invites projects that address environmental challenges and inspire positive impact. Participants can submit innovative new ideas or highlight ongoing projects. All types of projects are encouraged—whether local, national, or global—and may include organizations, businesses, or campaigns.

Issues of environmental sustainability should be the general emphasis of projects. Participants are free to investigate solutions to various environmental problems, and a range of methods are encouraged.

**Total Prize Money**

- **$100,000**

- **Educator of the Year:** Two educators will each receive $2,500.

- **Mentor of the Year:** Three mentors will each receive $2,500.

- **Regional Winners:** Seven teams, one from each region, will be awarded $12,500 each to support the development and implementation of their ideas.

Eligibility Criteria

**Eligibility**

The Earth Prize is open to students globally who meet these criteria:

- **Age:** Participants must have been born between 2005 and 2011.

- **Education:** The competition is intended for secondary school students only (not open to those in tertiary education).

- **Enrollment:** Students must be enrolled in a school or educational program, with eligibility also extended to homeschooled students. There are no location restrictions—students from any country are welcome to participate.
