The #YouthGive Africa Contest offers young Africans (ages 14-29) a chance to share their personal stories of generosity and community impact on a global stage.

Organized by GivingTuesday Africa, this contest honors African traditions of giving and the power of youth-led change. Cash prizes of up to $1500 will be awarded for the most inspiring stories. Selected stories will be highlighted across #GivingTuesdayAfrica’s platforms, amplifying the voices of young changemakers across the continent and promoting a movement of generosity.

The Significance of This
Too frequently, the rich tradition of charity in Africa is forgotten. By gathering, recording, and disseminating these tales, the YouthGive Africa Challenge seeks to alter that. In order to demonstrate to the world that generosity is as much a part of our future as it is of our past, we wish to honour both traditional and modern forms of giving.

By sharing your experience, you can encourage more people to give, raise awareness of the rich traditions of African philanthropy, and develop a more inclusive philosophy of generosity that combines tradition and contemporary living. By taking part, you're contributing to the development of a movement rather than merely entering a competition.
