Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) is a prestigious two-week academic summer program that brings together talented high school students from around the world.
With over 2,000 participants from 150+ countries and all 50 U.S. states, YYGS is one of the most globally diverse summer programs. The program offers students the chance to engage in a collaborative and innovative curriculum, which includes tracks in STEM, social sciences, humanities, or cross-disciplinary studies.
YYGS offers financial aid to both domestic and international students, with over $3 million USD in need-based scholarships available.
Program Highlights:

Additional Information
Full Program Tuition: $6,500 USD for a 2-week residential session. This covers all on-campus components, including housing, meals, and curriculum materials.
Travel: Travel costs are not included and must be covered by the students.
Need-Based Financial Aid: YYGS offers financial aid to cover up to the full cost of tuition for eligible students, both domestic and international. Students are responsible for funding their transportation costs.
Age: Be between 16-18 years old by July 20, 2025 (first day of Session III).
English Fluency: Be able to participate in a rigorous academic curriculum conducted in English.
Grade Level: Be a current high school sophomore or junior (or international equivalent).
Graduation Date: Be graduating in May/June 2026 or 2027 from the Northern Hemisphere or in November/December 2025 or 2026 from the Southern Hemisphere.
First-Time Participants: This opportunity is open only to first-time participants. If you have previously attended YYGS in 2024 or earlier, you are not eligible. However, if you applied before but were not accepted or were unable to attend, you are encouraged to re-apply for YYGS 2025.
