Applications are currently open for the 2025 edition of Pollicy’s Fellowship Programme. Since its inception in 2017, this initiative has served as a stepping stone for rising African visionaries and changemakers. It welcomes individuals across disciplines—including students, creatives, tech enthusiasts, academics, and grassroots mobilizers—to reimagine Africa’s digital and civic landscape. The fellowship champions innovation rooted in civic technology, digital justice, and feminist approaches to data, encouraging participants to push boundaries while remaining grounded in the realities of the African continent.

The programme seeks applicants who are in the early stages of their careers or studies and who have demonstrated interest or experience in fields like civic engagement, policy, digital storytelling, design, research, and tech-driven activism. Special emphasis is placed on welcoming voices from traditionally underrepresented communities across Africa, with a particular focus on East, West, and Central Africa.

Participants will have the chance to directly influence live projects by Pollicy, engage in weekly learning and mentorship opportunities, and publish creative outputs—ranging from blogs and games to toolkits and advocacy campaigns. By the end of the fellowship, each participant will complete a final public-facing project, and become part of a broader network of past fellows and collaborators.

The programme runs over a six-month period, requiring a flexible commitment of four working days each week. While the experience is primarily conducted online, there may be opportunities for in-person meetups or events. Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of $500 along with support for internet costs.
