Applications are open for the Swedish Institute Academy for Young Professionals Training Programme. This program is designed for emerging professionals eager to enhance understanding, skills, and adaptability in the areas of democratic governance and European Union integration.

SI Academy for Young Professionals (SAYP) is a capacity-building programme run by the Swedish Institute, designed to equip emerging leaders from EU Eastern Partnership countries with the knowledge, networks, and motivation needed to lead change within their organisations and communities. Its overarching aim is to foster stronger democratic governance and advance EU integration in the region.

Each year, SAYP offers several specialised thematic tracks, delivered by partner organisations that receive project funding from the Swedish Institute. These modules bring together participants to strengthen their expertise on pressing societal issues, aligned with the programme’s overall mission.

Eligibility Criteria

- Be citizens or residents of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, or Ukraine

- Be fluent in spoken and written English

- Hold a higher education qualification (minimum of three years of study)

- Be aged 25–40 (born between 1985 and 2000)

- Be employed in one of these sectors:

- Policymaking (politicians, government officials, political party staff)

- Public service (non-political roles in public institutions)

- Civil society (CSO/NGO professionals)

- Private sector leadership

- Have the authority, drive, and potential to create meaningful change

- Have a professional background that aligns with the chosen thematic module
