FULLY FUNDED: Archivi.ng Fellowship #002 — Decode Nigeria’s History
Applications are now open for the Archivi.ng Fellowship #002, a six-month program running from January to June 2026. This unique fellowship is designed to support individuals who wish to explore and reinterpret Nigeria’s history using archival materials, storytelling, research, or technology.
Under the theme “The More Things Change”, the program invites Nigerians to examine recurring patterns and cycles across the country’s history — from politics and economy to society and culture. It offers participants the chance to engage deeply with archives while creating innovative projects that bring the past into meaningful dialogue with the present.

Additional Information
Fellows will also gain access to Archivi.ng’s digital archives, receive mentorship, participate in learning circles and peer review sessions, and benefit from ongoing virtual check-ins with the Archivi.ng team.
At the end of the fellowship, participants will have the opportunity to publish, exhibit, or present their projects, gaining national and international visibility. All fellows retain full ownership of their intellectual property, while granting Archivi.ng the right to host or display their work for public access.
Projects must make active use of archival materials — including newspapers, audio or video recordings, magazines, photographs, or other historical sources — and aim to reveal patterns or recurring themes in Nigeria’s past and present.
While collaboration is encouraged, applications must be submitted individually. Diaspora applicants are welcome as long as their projects remain tied to Nigerian archives and can be executed remotely. Each applicant is allowed to submit only one proposal.
