Applications are open for the African Risk Capacity–Global Shield Solutions Platform (ARC–GSSP) Scholarship Programme 2026, a fully funded postgraduate opportunity for outstanding African students interested in actuarial science, insurance and agricultural statistics.

About the Programme

The ARC–GSSP Scholarship Programme is a partnership between African Risk Capacity Ltd (ARC) and the Global Shield Solutions Platform (GSSP).

Through the programme, selected students receive comprehensive support for postgraduate studies while gaining access to mentorship, career development and potential internship opportunities through ARC's partner network.

The initiative is particularly relevant to students seeking careers at the intersection of risk management, insurance, actuarial science, agriculture and climate resilience.

Eligible Fields of Study

The scholarship supports postgraduate studies in the following areas:

  • Actuarial Science
  • Insurance
  • Agricultural Statistics

Participating Universities

Applicants must be admitted to an eligible programme at one of the following institutions:

  • Institut Interafricain de Formation en Assurance et en Gestion des Entreprises (IFAGE)
  • University of Cape Town
  • University of Ghana
  • École Normale Supérieure
