FULLY FUNDED: Apply for the CPHIA 2023 Journalism Fellowship
Every year, CPHIA offers scholarships to African-based journalists, covering their expenses for the conference, facilitating their engagement with key public health stakeholders who shape policies on the continent. This year, CPHIA is launching the CPHIA Journalism Fellowship Programme, spanning six months, to support journalists in reporting on pressing public health issues. Fellows will have access to training, side events, panel discussions, and the 2023 in-person conference in Lusaka, Zambia.

The CPHIA Fellowship includes:
- A diverse curriculum on health journalism, storytelling techniques, and conference journalism strategies.
- Participation in conference events for interaction with public health experts and stakeholders.
- Mentorship from experienced health journalists or experts.
Fellows are expected to:
- Publish a minimum of four articles or interviews related to the CPHIA conference.
- Actively participate in the conference in Lusaka, Zambia.
- Create multimedia content complementing their written articles.
Eligibility:
- African-based journalists working with Africa-based media organizations.
- Minimum two years of journalism experience (health journalism experience is a plus).
- Availability for the six-month fellowship from October 2023 to February 2024, including travel to Lusaka, Zambia.
- Social media and multimedia skills are advantageous.
