The United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network Nigeria (UN SDSN Nigeria) acknowledges the pressing threat posed by climate change and its repercussions stemming from the triple planetary emergency: escalating global temperatures, habitat depletion leading to species extinction, and ongoing pollution of air, land, and water.

Introducing the Climate Actors Accelerator Programme (CAAP), tailored for young innovators and change-makers aged 18 to 35, who harbor a fervent dedication to devising solutions to the worldwide climate crisis. This initiative aims to cultivate a habitable environment towards achieving a net-zero future. CAAP offers a platform for knowledge exchange and innovation, encompassing rigorous training, boot camps, environmental advocacy, cleanup initiatives, tree-planting drives, ecological excursions, and innovative ideation.

The overarching objective of this program is to foster a network of youthful talent poised to spearhead transformative initiatives for the restoration and preservation of our planet and ecosystems. We firmly believe that these endeavors will effectively address critical challenges such as climate change mitigation and adaptation, preservation of natural and cultural heritage, conservation of biodiversity, waste management, pollution control, and the promotion of sustainable production and consumption practices, ultimately fostering inclusive, resilient, and sustainable environments and human settlements.
