FUNDED WITH STIPENDS: Apply for this Overseas Development Institute Fellowship 2024
The Overseas Development Institute (ODI) Fellowship Scheme is now accepting applications for the 2024/2026 program.
This scheme offers early-career economists and statisticians the opportunity to work for two years in low- and middle-income countries across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, the Pacific, and the Western Balkans. Fellows will serve as civil servants in various government institutions, such as finance ministries, health and education departments, central banks, and regulatory bodies.
Participants will receive a total compensation, after tax, of about £32,600 per year in the first year and £34,600 in the second year. This compensation includes a housing allowance adjusted based on the cost of living in the host country.
To be eligible, candidates from any nationality must hold a master’s degree or PhD in economics, statistics, or a related field. Specialized postgraduate qualifications may include agricultural economics, environmental economics, international economics, health economics, development economics, econometrics, and statistics. For those still pursuing postgraduate studies at the time of application, receiving the fellowship is contingent upon successfully completing the degree program.
