$20,000 Award: Join The QM–Jerome Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Artists 2026–2027
The Queens Museum, in partnership with the Jerome Foundation, is inviting applications for the 2026–2027 QM–Jerome Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Artists. This program is designed to support two promising artists living and working across New York City’s five boroughs who are ready to take the next step in their careers.
What the Fellowship Offers

$20,000 Award: Provided in two instalments to cover artist fees, materials, and project development.

Solo Exhibition: Fellows will present their work at the Queens Museum in 2027, gaining visibility and recognition.

Mentorship & Professional Support: Selected artists will work closely with museum staff and curators, receiving feedback, guidance, and networking opportunities.
Application Process
Submissions are accepted only through the Queens Museum’s online portal and should include:

A recent portfolio.

A project proposal for work to be developed during the fellowship.

An artist statement outlining practice and vision.

Additional Information
Be considered emerging artists: completed their studies but not yet had a solo exhibition in a commercial gallery or major public institution.
Have limited exposure in New York’s larger art spaces and no significant grants or major press coverage.
