Applications are open for the Young Civil Society Leadership Programme 2025 (Third Cohort)

Are you a passionate young changemaker from the Southern Mediterranean looking to make a difference in your community? The Young Civil Society Leadership Programme (YCSLP) is now accepting applications for its third cycle.

This initiative, implemented by the Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF) under the EU-funded Med Dialogue for Rights and Equality II Programme, is designed to empower 27 emerging youth leaders who demonstrate strong potential in advocacy, civic engagement, and policy-oriented action.

Programme Focus

The theme for this cohort centers on "Inclusive Growth and Job Creation for Social Impact", aiming to equip participants with the tools to address youth unemployment and economic challenges by promoting sustainable, locally-driven solutions.

Programme Duration

The programme will span 9 months, featuring a blend of in-person and virtual activities, mentoring, and technical support.

Programme Phases

1. Ideation & Project Design
Participants will receive mentorship and guidance to shape and refine their project ideas based on community needs and impact potential.

2. Capacity Building
Four virtual training modules (3 hours each) will provide practical skills in leadership, project planning, and policy engagement.

3. In-Person Bootcamp
A 4-day physical gathering will bring participants together with mentors and experts to co-develop their initiatives and explore collaboration opportunities.

4. Implementation Phase
Selected young leaders will receive €1,400 in financial and technical support to implement their community-based projects over a 1–3 month period.

Priority Areas of Action

Applicants are encouraged to submit proposals in the following fields:

  • Advancing circular and resilient local economies
  • Creating inclusive job opportunities, including remote-based startups
  • Promoting research and innovation to solve local socio-economic challenges

Eligibility Criteria
- Aged 18 to 35

- Citizens of Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, , Tunisia, etc

- Actively engaged in civil society or volunteering work

- Fluent in written and spoken English

- Demonstrated experience in advocacy, social innovation, or public engagement

- Affiliation with a civil society organization (formal or informal) is an added advantage

Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, Israel, or Syria
Application Procedure
Initial Review – 54 applicants will be shortlisted based on relevance, originality, and feasibility.

Orientation & Interviews – Shortlisted candidates will attend an info session and one-on-one interview.

Final Selection – 27 outstanding participants will be chosen to join the programme.
