Delta40, in collaboration with the Bestseller Foundation, is excited to announce the launch of the Delta40 x Bestseller Foundation Circular Economy Innovation Program. This impactful initiative aims to fast-track pioneering circular economy solutions across Africa.
The program offers venture studio support, funding opportunities, and expert guidance to promote innovations that generate employment, stimulate economic development, strengthen climate resilience, and reduce emissions.
The Delta40 Advantage
The Delta40 program stands out as a unique accelerator. Bold ideas are matched with the necessary resources, expertise, and networks to ensure their success. Unlike traditional investment models, Delta40 does not just invest in ventures but actively collaborates with founders. The program leverages a team of seasoned entrepreneurs and operators who have built successful companies across Africa, offering a hands-on approach to business growth. In addition to the typical features of an innovation program, participants will benefit from:
- Execution Support: Participants will receive assistance in innovation design, testing, and commercialization from experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders with extensive knowledge of the African market.
- Impact Assessment Workshops: The program will include workshops to measure and optimize environmental impact, ensuring that solutions are scalable and effective.
- Access to a Curated Ecosystem: Delta40 organizes events that bring together founders, operators, academics, investors, and funders, helping foster valuable relationships and create opportunities for growth and scaling.
- A Strong Community of Technical Founders: Participants will engage with a network of founders across Africa, exchanging insights, piloting technologies, co-developing solutions, and tackling challenges such as regulatory issues, technology adoption, and market entry.
- Circular Economy Scale Summit: Selected ventures will have the opportunity to pitch to a curated group of leading entrepreneurs, investors, corporates, and ecosystem leaders, encouraging innovation and investment in Africa’s circular economy.
Team Requirements
- Team Size: The program is open to founding teams of two individuals, with ventures at any stage from pre-seed to growth, provided they have proven traction.
- Target Applicants: The program is geared towards founders or senior executives within the Circular Economy sectors.
- Location: Ventures from all parts of Africa are welcome to apply.
- Selection: A maximum of 12 ventures will be selected for the program.
Time Commitment
- Weekly Dedication: Founders must commit at least 10 hours per week, with 3 hours spent in in-person sessions held in the late afternoons.
- Program Highlights: The program includes a one-week in-person kickoff in Kenya, a two-day Scale Summit in Kenya, and potentially a smaller event in Nigeria. These events will provide immersive experiences to help participants build connections, refine strategies, and prepare for scaling their ventures.
Sector Focus
Delta40 focuses on supporting ventures aligned with the following sub-sectors:
- Agriculture & Food: The program will support innovations in regenerative agriculture, food waste reduction, and soil health solutions to build resilience in farming communities.
- Fashion & Textiles: Delta40 will help foster innovations in textile recycling, fiber recovery, and regenerative materials to address textile waste challenges.
- Renewable Energy: The program supports innovations in solar energy circularity, battery storage, bioenergy, and waste-to-energy solutions to close Africa's energy gap.
- Data & AI for Circular Economy: Ventures working on AI-driven solutions for waste management, lifecycle management, and circular supply chains are also encouraged to apply

Capital Access: Participants will have opportunities to pitch for feasibility study grants, studio investments ($25K–$250K), and co-investment funding.

Exit Strategy Planning: Workshops are available to guide participants in developing long-term exit strategies through an ecosystem approach.
Masterclasses: These will offer applied content and insights from experienced entrepreneurs and operators, tailored to the specific growth needs of each venture.
Founder Support & Talks: Successful entrepreneurs will share candid stories and lessons from their journeys, providing valuable insights.
Strategy Sessions: One-on-one sessions with Delta40 CXOs and industry experts to refine strategies, address challenges, and scale ventures effectively.
Community: Participants will gain access to Delta40’s global network of investors, mentors, and advisors, unlocking funding and strategic partnership opportunities.
