Call for Applications: Youth Voices 4 Health Bootcamp

Are you a passionate young African eager to make a difference in your community’s health outcomes? The Africa Youth Voices 4 Health Bootcamp is now accepting applications for its 2025 virtual program. This high-impact initiative is designed to equip young people across the continent with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to become powerful health advocates and storytellers.

Targeting youth between the ages of 18 and 35, the bootcamp offers a unique opportunity to dive into the world of digital health advocacy. Participants will gain a strong understanding of public narrative, digital campaigning, and community engagement, all while working on real advocacy projects that have the potential to spark meaningful change. Through interactive sessions, self-paced resources, and collaborative learning spaces, participants will build essential skills in using media, storytelling, and evidence-based strategies to champion health equity in their communities.

The program, which runs from June to August 2025, is entirely virtual and combines Zoom sessions, a WhatsApp community, Google Classroom modules, and independent learning tools to create a dynamic and flexible learning experience. English will be the main language of instruction, but French support may be provided where possible to ensure inclusivity.

By the end of the bootcamp, participants will walk away with practical experience in developing health advocacy campaigns, mentorship from experienced professionals in the health and media sectors, and a certificate of participation. Exceptional participants will also have the chance to be spotlighted as Youth Voices for Health Champions, joining a growing pan-African network of young leaders dedicated to advancing public health.
