Objective of the Call for Expression of Interest :The Mastercard Foundation is seeking a technical partner or consortium to help implement the 2025 editions of the Young Africa Works Dialogue Series. The goal is to partner with an organization that can provide expertise in areas such as knowledge mobilization, stakeholder engagement, youth-led dialogue facilitation, event management, and post-event deliverables to ensure the successful execution of the series.
Overview of the Young Africa Works Dialogue Series
The Young Africa Works Dialogue Series is an initiative by the Mastercard Foundation that creates a platform for intergenerational dialogue led by young entrepreneurs. These dialogues engage key public and private sector stakeholders to identify and address barriers to dignified work, co-develop solutions, and promote youth entrepreneurship. The Foundation aims to expand the series following a successful inaugural event in Ghana in 2024, with additional events planned for 2025 leading up to the 2026 Young Africa Summit.
Objective of the Call
The Mastercard Foundation is looking for a partner capable of facilitating action-oriented dialogues that bring together young entrepreneurs and key ecosystem actors to explore pathways for youth-led entrepreneurship and dignified work.
Scope of Work
The partner will be responsible for supporting the Mastercard Foundation across three key areas:
1. Pre-convening – Knowledge and Stakeholder Mobilization- Develop country-specific concept notes for each event.
- Conduct focus group discussions with youth-led organizations.
- Create knowledge products and synthesize key findings.
- Organize in-country preparatory workshops.
- Prepare guest lists and ensure the participation of key ecosystem stakeholders.
2. Pre-convening – Logistics and Event Management
- Manage event logistics, including venue booking, budget drafting, and scope of work for event management and documentation.
- Ensure compensation for participating youth and develop press materials for each event.
3. Execution of the Convening- Oversee the event in collaboration with the events agency.
- Produce narrative and visual reports, and document key outcomes for each edition.
Who Should Apply?
African-led firms or organizations with experience in youth-led dialogue design, stakeholder engagement, and familiarity with public and private sector dynamics in Africa. Applicants with youth-led partnerships are highly encouraged. Key selection criteria include:
- Experience in youth-led dialogue design.
- Expertise in knowledge mobilization and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven skills in policy analysis, youth engagement, and event management.

- Organizational relevance, experience, and qualifications of the proposed team – 10%

- Expertise in mobilizing public/private sector stakeholders, knowledge mobilization, and conducting policy analysis and synthesis – 20%
- Suitability and feasibility of the proposed budget – 10%
