Africa faces a persistent shortage of skilled professionals to drive effective climate action and green economic transformation. While the continent has a growing population of climate-aware young people, many lack structured pathways to gain practical solutions, professional experience, and connections to green employment opportunities. Ecogig is designed to bridge this gap by transforming African youths into competent, work-ready green professionals. Through a structured blend of sustainability foundations, specialized streams, mentorship, and career transition support, Ecogig creates a sustainable pipeline of green talent positioned for impactful roles in Africa’s green economy.

If you are above 18 years, a citizen of an African country, proficient in English, and passionate about sustainability or related fields, we invite you to apply.

Participants should have reliable internet access and a device for joining virtual trainings and sessions.

The 2026 Cohort offers selected fellows comprehensive training in green foundations and advanced sustainability topics, marketable skills in high-demand sectors, dedicated mentorship from industry leaders, professional and career transition support, a CLEIIN Green Talent Certificate upon completion, and access to a powerful network of like-minded green professionals.

The programme runs fully virtually for 12 weeks, and slots are limited due to high competition.

Applicants will be selected based on their motivation, passion, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to completing the programme.
