Recognising Outstanding Young Innovators Driving Global Change

The Global Citizen Prize: Cisco Youth Leadership Award was created by Cisco and Global Citizen to honour a young changemaker between the ages of 18 and 30 who is using technology in a powerful way to combat extreme poverty.

Through an open application process, this award celebrates a young leader who has made a significant impact in advancing solutions that reduce hardship and improve lives in vulnerable communities. The initiative highlights individuals whose creativity, digital skills, and commitment to social progress are helping to push the world closer to eliminating extreme poverty.

The award provides a financial grant of $250,000, which is directed to the organisation the recipient supports, enabling them to expand their work and deepen their influence. The selected honoree will be revealed during Global Citizen NOW in May 2026 in New York City, a global gathering focused on accelerating action for a fairer and more sustainable future.

Applications are currently being accepted and will remain open until December 17, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET, giving eligible young leaders an opportunity to showcase their achievements and vision.
