Applications are open for the CAPSI Pan-African Youth Creative Competition 2025, organized by the Centre on African Philanthropy and Social Investment (CAPSI) at Wits Business School. This unique competition invites young African creatives and creative organizations to design innovative outputs that help share findings from a major research study on the role of the nonprofit sector in creating dignified and fulfilling work for African youth.
The competition aims to connect research and art by transforming key findings into engaging, creative, and accessible formats that resonate with young audiences across the continent. Participants are encouraged to submit projects that combine storytelling, creativity, and impact to raise awareness and spark conversations about youth employment and the nonprofit sector in Africa.

Additional Information
In addition to the financial award, selected winners will gain access to mentorship and professional guidance from experts in research, philanthropy, and creative communication. They will also benefit from extensive visibility and promotion through CAPSI’s networks and may be invited to present their work at high-profile regional and policy events.
Preference will be given to applicants from the 17 African countries covered by the research project. Submissions must be made in English, although winning materials may later be translated into local languages. The competition is open to individuals and creative teams with a passion for visual, performing, or digital arts that can effectively communicate research insights to diverse African audiences.
