COP30 : Apply for the 2025 PRME Students COP30 Initiative
The 2025 COP30 Student Program, a joint effort led by PRME Students Africa and Latin America in partnership with PRME Chapters across Africa, Latin America, and Brazil, is a collaborative, cross-regional effort aimed at empowering youth from the Global South with the tools and knowledge needed for effective climate engagement in the lead-up to COP30 in Belém, Brazil.
Taking place virtually between July and October 2025, the program spans four months and includes an eight-session interactive workshop series. Each session explores a pivotal topic in the climate space—ranging from environmental legislation, Article 6 and carbon trading, climate resilience and emissions reduction, climate finance systems, artificial intelligence in environmental contexts, to political negotiations and a breakdown of the UNFCCC framework.
Every workshop will feature two guest contributors: one seasoned professional in climate science, public policy, or sustainability, and one youth leader actively involved in grassroots advocacy or local climate initiatives. This dual-presenter approach fosters a balanced dialogue, blending expert perspectives with on-the-ground youth experience and innovation.
Through enhancing climate knowledge, elevating young voices, and building connections across regions, the program seeks to position youth from Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East as key contributors to COP30 and the broader international climate discourse.
Don't miss out on the application deadline which is 18 July 2025.
